Laboratory Testing of Cosmetic Products

Objective of Laboratory Testing

Laboratory testing of cosmetic products is required to confirm their safety, quality, and composition in accordance with the applicable EAEU technical regulations. Such testing is mandatory for obtaining a State Registration Certificate (SGR), as well as for import, export, and lawful circulation of cosmetic products.

Cosmetic products include but are not limited to: decorative cosmetics, sunscreens, moisturizing and anti-aging creams, skincare products, lip, hair, and nail care products, infant care products, toothpastes, perfumes, and related product categories.

Key Test Parameters

In accordance with CU TR 009, laboratory testing includes the following key parameters:

Assessment of Safety Parameters

• Heavy Metal Content• Hydrogen Ion Concentration (pH)

MICROBIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS

• Total count of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms (MAFAM)• Detection of Coliform Bacteria• Detection of Staphylococcus aureus• Detection of Candida albicans• Detection of Pseudomonas aeruginosa• And Other Microbiological Parameters

Issuance of State Registration Certificate

“FDA Laboratory” LLC complies with the criteria established by Resolution No. 623-N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia dated 13 June, 2013, “On Approving the Procedure and Criteria for the Designation of Conformity Assessment Bodies,” and has been designated as a Conformity Assessment Body by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.
The laboratory is authorized, based on the results of testing performed, to issue a State Registration Certificate.

The laboratory collaborates with importers and manufacturers in the member states of the Customs Union — Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan
