BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE FOOD SUPPLEMENTS

Objective of Laboratory Testing

The purpose of testing biologically active food supplements is to confirm their safety, quality, and composition in accordance with the quality requirements established by the EAEU.

Such studies are required to obtain the regulatory status of dietary supplements within the EAEU territory, including for export, import, and lawful market circulation.

Key Test Parameters

The following key assessment areas are defined in accordance with the applicable EAEU technical regulations and the specific characteristics of the supplements:

CHEMICAL PARAMETERS

• Energy Value• Determination of Organochlorine Pesticides• Determination of DDT and Its Metabolites• Determination of Hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) (α-, β-, γ-Isomers)• Determination of Aldrin• Determination of Heptachlor• Determination of Heavy Metal Content• Determination of Mineral Element Content, Including Iron (Fe), Magnesium (Mg), Sodium (Na), and Other Elements• Determination of Aflatoxin M1 and Aflatoxin B1 Content• Determination of Nitrate Content• Determination of Melamine Content• Determination of Antibiotic Residues, Including Streptomycin, Penicillin, Chloramphenicol, and Tetracycline Group Antibiotics• Determination of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)• Determination of Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) Content• Determination of Peroxide Value• Determination of Acid Value and Titratable Acidity• Determination of Vitamin Content• Determination of Amino Acid Profile• Determination of Carnitine and Creatine Content• Other Relevant Identification Parameters
