From April 7 to 11, 2024, representatives of FDA Laboratory LLC conducted a working visit to Kazakhstan.

During the working visit, meetings were held with international manufacturers of tobacco and tobacco substitute products (including filter cigarettes, heated tobacco products, and electronic cigarettes), such as Philip Morris Kazakhstan, British American Tobacco, JTI Kazakhstan, and others. Cooperation agreements were concluded, and new professional partnerships were established.

It should be noted that FDA Laboratory LLC has recently acquired new equipment, completed personnel training, and implemented the necessary analytical methods.

The laboratory has been designated by the Ministry of Economy as a conformity assessment body in this field.
This analysis enables the identification and quantitative determination of substances contained in tobacco substitute products.

Testing enables the determination of the following analytes in these product categories:
• Carbon monoxide
• Glycerin
• Nicotine
• Propylene glycol
• Water

FDA Laboratory LLC is the only laboratory in the Republic of Armenia and the region performing laboratory testing of tobacco substitute products.
